Public Draft Habitat Plan

August 2011

On August 31, 2011, two documents were released in response to comments received on the December 2010 Draft Santa Clara Valley Habitat Plan. Click here for the cover letter accompanying the two documents.
1.     Proposed Revisions to the Draft Santa Clara Valley Habitat Plan: A Framework for Preparing a Final Plan.  The Framework summarizes key comments received since public review of the December 2010 Draft Habitat Plan began, and describes proposed revisions to the Draft Plan that respond to those comments. It also presents proposed modified Habitat Plan costs, funding and development fees and a budget and schedule for preparation of a Final Habitat Plan.
2.     Economic Impact Analysis of the Draft Santa Clara Valley Habitat Plan. The Analysis addresses the Draft Plan’s impacts on total fee burdens, competitiveness, property tax revenues and other economic factors.
During Fall 2011, the Local Partners will consider preparation of a Final Plan and related documents, and if authorized, the timing of related budget actions. The Final Plan, if prepared, would undergo additional public review prior to any decisions (in mid-2012) on whether or not to adopt the Plan.
